Hello!
I am new here, so first of all, hi all!
I'm writing here because I would like to know few things. I hope you can help or at least give me some advise on hw to proceed.
I'm Italian, but I live and work in England so I pay taxes there. I don't have VAT number, but, if i'm not mistaken, to work on this platform I don't really need one. Obviously, I have to pay taxes on my future jobs.
I dont really know if I have to pay taxes in Italy or England, but, aside form that, can you tell me how to proceed with taxes payment?
I've never worked online as a freelancer, so this is my first experience in this field and I'm not sure on what to do...
Thanks a lot.

First thing, hire a tax professional if this is your first time freelancing. They will be able to better answer your questions and tell you the exact process for your geographic area as it differs depending on where you live. For example, here in America, we pay taxes every quarter on previous earnings. This may or may not be the case in England.
Secondly, if you live / work in England then you pay taxes in England, not Italy.

Marta,
Depending how you set your business up you have various options. Here is the official website:
https://www.gov.uk/working-for-yourself
On this page there is a number you can call, and the people there are very, very helpful:
https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/hm-revenue-customs/contact/status-customer-service-team
And have a look here:
https://www.gov.uk/self-assessment-tax-returns/overview
Good luck - tax is not that difficult. Just a question of organization.
You do not need a VAT number unless you earn over £83,000 per annum, although you can apply for one, but I don't think it is worth it when you are just starting out.
