Good morning. The platform paid me a minimum amount for a dispute with a client who did not comply with the agreement from the beginning. I want to know if I can request a review or if it is not worth it?

Hi Amanda
Here's what to consider:
1. Upwork’s Dispute Process:
If Upwork awarded you a minimum payment, it likely means they couldn't fully support your claim based on the contract terms. Remember, Upwork only considers agreements made on their platform.
2. Requesting a Review:
You can request a review, but make sure you have strong evidence (written agreements or documented proof of the client's non-compliance). If the terms were unclear or agreements were made outside the platform, an appeal may not be successful.
3. Is It Worth It?
Weigh the time and effort against the amount disputed. If the claim is small and evidence is lacking, it might be better to move on.
4. Avoid Future Issues:
Ensure contracts fully reflect your agreement with the client, and keep all communication on Upwork for a clear record.
Good luck! 😊
