The customer paid me an extra bonus by mistake, how can I refund the bonus?

Hello,

My client is new to upwork, we made an hourly contract and the total was $ 80 dollars, but as he didn't know how it works, he sent me $ 80 as a extra bonus thinking he was paying the $80 for the hourly contract.

So in that case I would be getting $ 80 + $ 80 by mistake, how can I refund the bonus of $80 to him?

Can I refund him the bonus or the hourly contract? Because it's the same amount.

Please let me know, thanks!

Refund $80.

 

Do not remove your hours.

 

If you go to My Jobs, and display your list of contracts, you can click on a contract listing.

 

You can click to a dedicated page for the contract. And then click on the "three dots" icon, which shows a drop down menu. Click the refund option. Use that to send a $80 refund to the client.
