Hello! I am new to Upwork and I just wanted to know if I need to turn on my tracker on the Upwork app even if my contract is fixed price? Is it mandatory to use?

Hi Jezeil,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I would like to clarify that the Fixed-Price contracts can be tracked using the Upwork Desktop App but they do not qualify for Hourly Protection, they only qualify for Fixed-Price Protection.

It is NOT mandatory.

It is extremely rare for freelancers to use the time-tracker app for fixed-price contracts.
