UK based freelancer's first Upwork experience

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask about the payment process on Upwork. I got assigned my first job here and I do not really know what is expected from me. I am based in the UK but my contractor is from the US.

I would be very grateful if somebody could share the insights with me.

Hi Sara,

Congratulations on your first contract! 

I can see this is a Fixed-Price contract, please check out this help article to learn how you get paid for Fixed-Price Contracts. What's most important at the moment is that when the work is ready, you submit it using the Submit Work for Payment button. That way if your client doesn't manually release payment to you, the funds are automatically released after 14 days.
