US Citizen in China

I am building my profile and need to set my country to China. I have tried multiple ways to do this to no avail (logging in with VPN switched off, or to HK). Any help would be appreciated. I'm submitting this here because it is my only option as I need customer support to fix my profile since, I also tried to put in a PO Box I am using for mail in the States, but couldn't verify my phone number because it does not work overseas.
