Getting this error:
Unfortunately, you cannot submit a proposal for this job post because it requires location verification. Based on your previous attempts, you are currently not eligible to verify your location. Please contact customer support.
I had uploaded the driver's id once but it said verification failed.
I need help on this.
Please help me resolve the issue.

Origional ticket is #26114663
I tried to verify myself but the system wasn't reading my license, I reached out to support and created the above ticket. They gave me a link to fill out that asked for my ID again as well as a utility bill, I uploaded the document and got a "You're good to go" email that said I was now able to work. When I try to submit for a job I still get the error "You've reached the maximum number of tries to upload your ID.
To verify your identity so that you can access all jobs, please contact customer support."
I tried to Direct message a Moderator but I do not have sufficent privlages and was not allowed to send a message and I tried to go through the support site but it just looped me back to the community. Thank you for any help!

Can anyone help me with uploading or verifying my ID? The online verification process is saying it cannot read the Drivers License or it reads it and says that my name does not match. Help?

Hello,
I tried submitting a picture of my passport to verify my identity and get started on upwork. My verification did not go through. Now the site is telling me that I've reached to maximum amount of tries and to contact upwork for help. I've tried to contact support but haven't had any luck. Is anyone having a similar issue?

I uploaded my ID. The system did not take it. Upon my second attempt it states I need to contact Customer support. So far, customer support has been a BOT and a knowledge base. I need someone to verify my ID so that I can submit Proposals.

Hello, I am a new member that registered some days ago.
And they require ID verification to send proposal.
So I uploaded my ID card but they cannot recognize my ID.

Hi,
I just recently accepted a contract for a writing job. However, when I tried to verify my identiy, I was told via email that my account had been placed on hold because my identity could not be confirmed. Within the last month I moved from California to Illinois, so my ID is still a California ID. Obviously, I will be changing that soon but I'm not sure why that would make a difference seeing as all the other information is the same.
I would love it if someon could help me rectify this issue. I will send whatever info that is needed. Thanks so much!
James

Hello,
I haven't been able to verify my U.S. driver's license in order to verify my location. Therefore, I haven't been able to work. I've tried several times and it gives me an error message every time, despite following all of the instructions and guidelines on taking a picture of my ID.
Can I receive some help here or get a phone number to call about this issue?
Thanks,
Emily White

I had verified my location once before and it worked and all was well. Then, tonight, I went to submit a proposal for a project and I was asked again to verify my location, but this time it failed. Now I have been submitting proposals for well over a week since my last verification, now all of a sudden Upwork is requesting it again and now it won't accept it.
Last time I simply took a picture of my license with my smartphone and uploaded it and it was fine. I did the same thing tonight and it failed.
HELP!!

Hi,
My first attempt to verify my location (US) failed (probably because the attached documents were temporary ones) and I cannot do it anymore. How can I apply again with my documents to verify my location ?
Thanks,
Best Regards

Be sure that all four corners of your drivers' license are visible. Don't know why, but it's apparently important.

Dear Upwork Team,
My name is Muhammad Abdullah and i created my account in UpWork few months before using my Techveno U.S company documents, earlier i provided my tax documents EIN, Annual filling and UpWork Team validated already, However i operate my company from numerous location time to time because of my travelling. I am not U.S citizen but yes when having a company in U.S we legally called as U.S Citizens.
The problem is your system is asking me to submit U.S Identity!, I can provide my U.S company documents which earlier i provided and you guys validated but now again asking the U.S identity, i can provide my Techvento company document but i don't have Green Card or State ID to provide you in simple.
Doing freelancing since many years from Envtao, here you can see my U.S account: https://studio.envato.com/users/webdesignerart
where i provided my customer services to U.S specific customers since 7years because i do work only for U.S based clients that's why i opened company in United States and paying Taxes, Recently i joined UPWORK to expand my business as i have very positive reviews for my services from 2013 to till and going, I completed 700+ projects with the above 90% satisfied customers ratio, you can see my ratings on envato url i shared above.
I would like you to resolve my issue as i am the person who pay taxes there and i should have all the U.S benefits.
I am tend to my provide my best services here where client will hire me again and again and i can generate revenue for me and do a positive contribution for UpWork too.
Thank you
Mohammad Abdullah Khan

No, "when having a company in U.S.", you are NOT legally called US citizens. Your company may be US-based. You may even be able to say you have an American company. But YOU either are or you aren't a United States citizen. US citizenship is a personal, individual status, and that determination has nothing to do with your employer, employment, or company ownership.
So are you physically located in the US, or are you lying about your location on your profile just like you're lying about your "native or bilingual" English proficiency?
Aug 10, 2019 02:19:14 AM by Muhammad Abdullah K
Thanks for your response, My understanding is having a U.S company means you known as U.S citizen because you pay TAXES, however yes its a personal classification. Second i didn't say that i am living in U.S, i created my company in U.S but i am not situating there, just paying taxes for my company revenues, I am not lying and hope its clear to you that i am not living in U.S.
I opened my upwork account few months back based on my company documents, if they need more details i can provide or align my U.S lawyer to help for this issue.
Thankyou

No, there are many people who are not US citizens and pay taxes to the US federal government, state governments, or local governments. For example, legal residents pay taxes, and they are not US citizens. Paying taxes does not make you a citizen nor does it give you the right to call yourself a citizen.
Your profile lists your location as Sarasota, Florida. Last I checked, Florida was part of the United States, although many bemoan that fact. So if you do not live in the US, why does your profile state that you do?

It has been almost impossible to find assistance on this and this new method of trying to get answers instead of just reaching out to a support person is kind of annoying. I am considering just not using this website anymore to be fair.
However, my question anyways.
I am trying to submit my ID verification for the location or whatever. It is trying to do the auto-verify. The problem is that it is claiming that my account name is different from the name on my ID. Which is not true. They are the same name. How can I fix this issue?
Please don't tell me to change the angles of the photo or change the background. I tried different lighting, different photos of my ID from other occasions, etc.
Thanks, I guess.
