Unresponsive Client and Lack of Payment

Hi guys,

I completed a project for a new client and submitted it on time as well.

It has now been a week and there has been no reply from the client.

I am new to Upwork and this is my second project so I am not a 100% how it goes from here.

If it helps, the amount is in Escrow.

Thanks and Regards

Ibrahim:

Clients are not required to respond to freelancers.

You will get paid AUTOMATICALLY if the client does nothing.

You already used the "Submit Work / Request Payment" button. Do NOT push the button again.

14 days after you pushed it, ALL the money in escrow will be released to you.

Don't contact the client. Don't do anything. Just wait. Your money will be released to you in 7 days.

Hi Ibrahim,

On Fixed-price jobs, Freelancers should click on the Submit Work/Request Payment button once the work for the set Milestone is completed. If the client has simply stopped responding but the milestone was funded in Escrow, then the client has a period of 14 days from the most recent work submission on a milestone to review and request any changes, after which the funds will automatically be released from Escrow to you.

You can have a look at this article about Fixed-Price Protection for more information.

Thank you.
