This is my first time tracking with upwork, I worked for my client almost 4 hours yesterday, 12-13-17. I was putting in the time today manually and it tells me i can't. Can you assist me in this? Or do i need to add the time from yesterday with today?

Erin,
It sounds like your client may have turned off the ability to add manual time for your contract. The best way to keep track of time is to use Upwork's time tracking tool, which can be found here. I recommend treating manual time entries as a last resort, as they are not covered under Upwork's payment protection.
I recommend sending a message to the client, explaining what happened. You can ask them to turn on manual time, which should allow you to log the 4 hours you missed. Please keep in mind that the client does not have to let you do this, but may be willing to be flexible.
Best wishes on straightening this out!

I agree with Timothy. I work exclusively on hourly contracts and I only use manual time entries for things like lengthy telephone conferences. Use the automatic tracking is a much, much better practice.
