Upwork Exchange Rate

 I have a problem with Upwork exchange rates to Ksh, the rate is usually too low when compared to current rates and you still pay a fee when withdrawing.  Maybe they need to look into this.

Hi Eric,

Difference in exchange rates is not something Upwork can control. When a bank converts a transaction, they will mark up the interbank rate to buy or sell a currency. Online calculators will not take into consideration the mark up that is applied. Since rates constantly change throughout any given day, the rate you received is the rate offered by our bank at the time your specific transaction was processed.

This seems false because whatever the exchange rate is doing, upwork stays at 94ksh. Right now Paypal is exchanging at 97ksh but Upwork has not changed its rate for months.
