Upwork Membership Plus Refund

Hi, I'm new to upwork. So I tried to check about the Membership Plus because I'm looking for ways to increase my connects. I have forgotten that I had my debit card linked to my Upwork account and so the membership was automatically paid and there was no option for me to confirm or cancel the payment. I have canceled the subscription thinking that there is an option for a refund but it says it changes will be effective next billing cycle. Is there an option to get a refund the amount that was taken out of my bank account? I don't have work so I can't afford to pay for anything at the moment.
