hello, Jatinder I am new to here too (3 days ago), I 've paid 42 connects (I'd paid $10 for a member) and can not get any work here, even if I had many years freelancer experince and got lots of online job in past years. There are 3 -4 proposal may cost on "works" under $10 for a wish to create the first reviews. but soon I decide to NO do that ,because have no sense at all. I came here for money and creating value for clients, instead of playing kids' online game , once I found it's just waste time ,I'll leave. If I was you , 20 days earn $10 (almost = no earns) , I'll waiting for next free period, no paid for the member, the plus 10 connect (5 chance) means nothing sometimes. and "hightest or lowest bid rate " were also **bleep**, because even if the clients want to build a site like Facebook, there are always some guys bid like $20 . Had Freelancer to wait the clients response here? any default deadline for that? if not ,that's **bleep** , I have 16 (in paid 42 connects) proposals still "on the road" ,waiting for the clients pick up freelancer with their poor budget, as I know they always like to pick up the cheapest, then playing a game called "lowest quality work and waste time".

When will the second free period happen again ? I am lucky, as a new comer, within 2 weeks I got work. After that, my connectivity 0. I can't find work anymore. Upwork got 20% from my job, should we pay more for membership ???. I haven't problems if we can pay membership by deduction fro my wallet.

Any suggestion ??

Hi Witur,

Connects are awarded on a monthly basis, to check when your new cycle will start go to Settings > Membership&Connects > Scroll down to membership cycle. Thank you!

Having a paid membership will not help you get hired. Don't do it.

Focus on developing your skills, your portfolio, and writing excellent, specific, brief proposals.

It can take a while to get started. Be patient.

If what you offer as a freelancer is the same as what hundreds and thousands of other freelancers offer... Then you are not yet ready to succeed.

If you go through all your connects paying won't help you. It only helps if you have connects left over.
