What I suggest you do, is look up profiles of very successful freelancers and try to learn from them. Most likely you will find texts that put emphasis on their capabilities together with proof, such as a portfolio, that they are good at it.
What you will not find in those profiles is emphasis on personal attributes, such as being honest, or reliable, or keeping deadlines, or any other thing that should be a given, not even to be mentioned, because it is simply part of professional behaviour that should be taken for granted and is expected as a baseline.
Same goes for proposals. Tell the client why you are the best freelancer for his job, why your skills match his job description.
In short, look for a more professional language.
