Upwork Team Builder Program

I am not sure if I am the only one getting this kind of problem but it's too much of a coincidence that none of the client replies or the Upwork Team Builder representatives replies/follow-ups after you submit a proposal. Today I received another invite from Upwork Team Builder, but I am skeptical of submitting a proposal as I feel the same thing would happen again (waste of time and connects). How do you even know if they are indeed a representative from Upwork Team Builder not some Agency?

It's also quite possible that the clients are just not that interested in you.  The competition on a lot of these so-called team builder campaigns is pretty large.  On the contrrary, I receive invites from the team builder program all the time and have been hired for a few of them as well.

I would understand if that is the case, I do know how to track client activities, for example the last I accepted said that they never hired anyone on that job, the Upwork Representative them selves don't even bother replying to my questions, a simple statement that says sorry the client is not interested would have helped a lot... besides one of the supposed Upwork Team Builder repesentative that invited me is someone I know that is part of a specific agency, hence my doubt

Hi Manuel,

Our representatives have a sentence at the end that explains that they are representatives from Upwork and from what team they are. Depends on the case but once you have responded to the invitation our representative will leave the message room as well.
If your suspicious that someone from an agency is pretending to be from Upwork you can report this to our Customer support.

I get that there is a disclaimer when they approach freelancers, like what I mentioned earlier, one of the representative is someone I remember from when I was just starting. Since you mentioned they are supposed to leave the room then all of the invites I have received so for should be under suspicion?

Hi Manuel,

As I have mentioned below this depends on the case at hand, our talent specialist will leave the room once a communication has been established between you and the client.
But in some cases it may stay longer and do a second round of screening, depends on the needs of the client.
A lot of freelancers are also working for Upwork that have worked for other clients or are still working, you can send me a PM with more details and I will check this further.
