Upwork: Why do you allow *edited* to post on the site?

**edited for Community Guidelines**

This dude is paying $4 for per 1000 word article re-writing,
$2-$3 for per 500 word original writing

Then he says, **edited for Community Guidelines**

UPWORK: THAT'S NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE FRICKING MINIMUM WAGE. GET RID OF THIS GUY. WHY DO YOU ALLOW HIM TO EXPLOIT YOUR FREELANCERS?

Steve, I understand you are frustrated because you are seeing something you do not agree with.

But we do not need to refer to clients as "jerks."

It is inappropriate to reference minimum wage here. It does not apply.

You do not even know if your assessment is correct. You do not know how long it takes some people to write 500-word articles, or to rewrite articles.

And regardless of the length of time it takes, you need to remember that time is not a component of fixed-price contracts. These contracts pay out based on a specific deliverable.

It is many times the minimum wage in many countries, and "wage" is not a concept that applies to freelancing anyway.

If you don't like a job post, feel free not to apply.

You realize that this is a global platform with minimum wages vastly different from country to country?
