VAT number not validated

Hello,

I have tried several times to enter my VAT number but I receive an email that my VAT is not valid, even though it is approved on the EU VIES website. Why isn't it validated by UpWork?

Hi Victor,

 

If your VAT number is declined it could be because:


- The country on VAT ID doesn’t match the country on your Upwork profile
- The name on VAT ID doesn’t match the name on your Upwork profile
- Your VAT ID is expired
- Your VAT information was entered in an invalid format (check correct format for your country)

Yes, I already tried all of the ones you already mentioned here, which seem to be the same as the ones on your customer support page. It is still not valid.

I want to start an agency plus account and want to invoice the purchase with my VAT ID on the invoice. Can you help me with this?
