Verified Name?

I created this account under the name I typically sign to what I write (my pen name, in other words), believing this was an accepted practice, and that there would be an option to add a "verified name" (there are various mentions of photo identification connected with this, for which I was not asked at any point) at some point during account creation. Is this not the case? It has rejected my banking information. I am presently very confused about how this is supposed to work. The option for manual review also does not seem to function, but rather leads me to this. I am now, I admit, quite confused.
