Want to start work at Upwork

Hello!
I want start work at Upwork. 
My skills area are Graphic Design and Video Production field. I've studied in graphic design subject and video production is my passion. I'm doing a local job also, that is about video editing. Now if i want to do work in Upwork, Can I work here now?  How will the client give me work? I need to focus on what to get the order?

I checked your account, and it looks like you have already started submitting proposals. Clients can review the proposal you submitted, and if the client sees you as a good match for the project, he is looking to complete, then the client will send you an offer.
