What does "Initiated" mean on Submitted Proposals?

Hello everyone, I am brand new on UpWork, I just applied for two jobs, I mean I made two proposals to two different jobs.

After a day of it, I see that it says Initiaded.

What does it mean? Is it still in progress? Is it that I should be interviewed or I should wait for the Job offer to write me? Is it that i have not been accepted for the job? Or should I make a new Proposal by updating it?

I did some research and I could not find an answer for this one.

Any help and exlpenation would be appriciated.

Thank you.

It just means that you applied, nothing more, nothing less.

You won't get any response (good or bad) from the majority of the proposals you write, sodon't give too much thought to sent proposals, keep going until someone gets back to you.

It gets easier after you've won your first job.

I have got the same question, but still I didn't find any answer that explains this.
