What is the difference between 20+ vs 15 to 20 proposals?.

I noticed that some Job posts have like 20+ or 50+ Proposals, so does this mean that they're asking for 20+/50+ applicants or that 50+ applicants already applied?...

Because on other Job posts shows 5 to 10 or 15 to 20 proposals, so does this mean only 5 or 15 applied out if the 10 or 20 for the Job??...

I am also new on Upwork. I think 20+ or 50+ Proposals mean people already applied job. 5 to 10 it's fresh new job. 5 to 10 people only applied.

50+ proposals for only one Job!!... If it's really that way I'll just keep moving on to a different Job post. Not worth it. Thanks for the fast replied. Its good to know.
