I go the contract.
I chose the "less than a month" time frame when accepting the contract. However, the customer has disappeared and I'm afraid I won't be able to finish the job by the 1st of April.
What's going to happen if the contract is not finished successfully in the chosen time frame?
Should I cancel it?

Absolutely nothing. The timeframe is purely a point of reference for the client and yourself. I have contracts that started with a small task and "less than a month" and are still going strong years later.
