When I go to apply for work it incorrectly says I am not in the right country?

Everywhere in my profile says I'm in the U.S./have no idea why it would say that I am not in the U.S? 

I'm in Chicago, and was unable to contact upwork through any more direct means to help.

I've re-re-rechecked all my profile info and not sure why it is messing up like this.

if anyone can come up with an easier fix than making a whole new account thatd be great

Hi Carrie,

 

Is there a specific job you're seeing this error on? I checked and wasn't able to replicate. The location on your profile is the U.S. and when I checked a couple of jobs with U.S.-only requirement I didn't see the error.

I think I know what happened. You're looking at a job where the client set a preference for a timezone in addition to the country. You are located in a different timezone than the one they set in their preferences and that's why you see the notification. Since it's a preference, you should still be able to send a proposal to their job but make sure that your skills and experience match the description of the job.
