When can I share my contact info such as SkypeID or Email with Client?

Hi, everybody

Sometimes clients require my contact info such as SkypeID or Email before offering project.

I already visited upwork terms and communications about this problem, so noticed it's not against upwork rule. But they all said we must make a contract on upwork.
So I have a question.

After sharing my skypeID with client, if he doesn't offer project how does upwork team think about this?
Maybe we can get doubt from upwork.
Therefore, I think we can share our contact info after starting contract on upwork.
I am looking forward to hearing from upwork team about my idea.
Thank you for reading

You can't post contact information on your profile page.

Other than that, you are free to share any contact information at any time.

I don't think they review it that closely. Maybe if you make a habit of it (sharing contact details and then never opening a contract) they will review it. but I think you would have to do it a LOT for that to be an issue.

I send potential clients my email or phone number sometimes and I haven't had an issue.

also consider that if the client doesn't decide to go with you, they'll likely (hopefully) award the contrat to someone else anyway, so it's not like upwork will have to suspect foul play on your end.  I wouldn't worry about it too much.
