When/how do I get W9?

I've filled out the tax information in Settings > Tax Information.

2 questions:

- When and how will I receive my tax form? 

- What if I updated it recently? ( I originally put "Upwork" as the company name, but I meant to put my name)

Hi Avena,

All freelancers who are U.S persons should file a Form W-9 with Upwork. You sign electronically by submitting the form. You may want to check this help article for more information on how you can complete it.

You will not receive a form 1099  from Upwork unless you made - I think - $20k last year.  You do not need a form to file your taxes - just enter the amount of money you made through Upwork (and any other sources). I highly recommend TurboTax for self-employed if you live in the US.  Tremendously helpful with deducations, etc.
