Upwork shows US only options to people within the 50 US states. Why are American Citizens who live in US territories being excluded from applying to those listings? Why hasn't Upwork fixed this? If you list a bank form a US Territory, Upwork correctly identifies it as being part of the US. Why is it different for a freelancer? Most sites usually list the territories after the 50 states, within their dropdown lists. They aren't separate countries, and shouldn't be listed as such.

Hi Maria,
Unfortunately, currently freelancers located in one of the U.S. territories won't have access to U.S. only jobs. However, this is an issue that our product team is aware of. I'll share your post with them as well.
Thank you!

Among the many reasons (valid and otherwise) clients might want US freelancers is the difference in time zones. I find that clients prefer to work with someone within an hour or two of their time zone.
And the "US Freelancers" is a preference, not a requirement. Anyone can apply.
