I strongly urge you to work with the freelancer to figure out a non-Upwork method for exchanging files.

Maybe the freelancer has a preferred method. Maybe you do. If not, then you should learn some.

FTP. Dropbox. Email. Google Drive. Microsoft One Drive. WeTransfer. There are so many excellent, reliable ways to transfer files.

Upwork intentionally blocks the transfer of files of various types and sizes, and also alters files for various reasons. Upwork is not a file transfer tool and does not claim to be. You do not need to work through Upwork's tools or communicate with Upwork Customer Support personnel in order to exchange files with a freelancer that you hired.
