Could you please share more information with us about the link you're referring to so that we can assist you accordingly or have the correct support team assist you?
Hi Upwork Product Team,
Some links to external resources that are entered into Messages lead to 404 pages. Specifically, it seems that when a link contains an underscore, the Upwork messaging inserts a forward slace into the href attribute of the anchor tag, which breaks the URL.
An upwork message containing the link: https://docs.google.com/documents/d/abcde_fghi/edit?usp=sharing
has an href attribute with the value: https://docs.google.com/documents/d/abcde/_fghi/edit?usp=sharing
The current workaround is not to click on the link, but rather copy/paste it into the address bar. (Coping/pasting the link address will result in the same 404 error).
I hope you can look into this issue.
Thank you for your consideration.
