What Avery said. Complete your profile. Add your expertise, experience, samples if you have them. Get it looking great. Potential clients will be looking at it, and it's your chance to put your best foot forward.

Also, as you're new to Upwork, remember you're looking for clients, not employers. You are your employer. It helps to start with the right mindset going in.
