Please read and apply the lessons you learn here:

Please do not ask any other generic, already-answered questions like the one you posted here.

You first need to start by using your own photo and real name. It's not nice to steal someone else's photo to use as your own - nor is it allowed.

Secondly, you have no portfolio to show off your supposed design skills.

I happily give you a quick work: Remove the stolen profile picture, and upload a real photo of yourself.

Apparently some Forum participants do not believe that Hollywood film director James Grey has an indentical twin brother who oddly enough is named "Rising Digitizer."

This is the kind of thread that tends to be deleted entirely, along with summary banishment of the originating would-be freelancer.

And that twin brother has a twin brother named James Grimmelmann. Must be triplets.

Plus ... I'd be worried about using a lawyer's photo as my own.

thanks for urs guidance i change right now

You might try being honest about your time zone as well, unless you're here in Colorado with me.

I'm really not convinced that people whose time zones seem off to some of you are intentionally lying about their time zones. I think that people setting up new profiles, whether they be clients or freelancers, are not necessarily asked to set their time zones in an obvious way, and I think that many people have default time zones associated with their profiles that they did not personally specify.

Re time zones ... yes, I suppose.

Of course, fake names and fake profile photos are a different matter from time zones.

I know for a fact that at least one person flagged the original poster's profile using the "fake name" and "fake photo" criteria.

At least one ... maybe more.

Well, you still have a fake (stolen) photo and a fake name.....

I also remember another embroidery guy fairly recently - nice work - but Upwork might not have been the right outlet.

Life on these platforms can be  complicated  . . .

Is it really impossible for Upwork to set up an approval panel that at least can suss out the obvious fakes? If we freelancers can (even me a technophobe), why can't Upwork with all the latest techno gadgets at its fingertips?

Hi Rising,

Please, refer to the notification the team sent you earlier today about your account status.

Thank you.

I think we all should turn this discussion around and reply to the question - What's right with his profile.

Now, don't everyone just in at once.

I was going to say the last sentence of their overview but considering how many rules they're breaking, I'm not sure that's accurate either.

OP, let's assume that you really are an embroidery digitzer and you just somehow accidentally added the wrong name and photo. You need a portfolio and a more concise title. You also need to drop your hourly rate by a factor of at least 10.

(Edited to add: I think I hear Valeria's footsteps in the hall outside...)
