invites disappear

New to Upwork. I created a job and invited 4 people to make a proposal. A few hours later only 2 people were showing. Why is that? Did the other 2 decline the job? If so, shouldn't I get a notification? If I want to get 2 more proposals I don't want to wind up asking the same 2. I have no way of knowing who they are.

Hi Sue,

I checked this for you and it looks like 3 Invited Freelancers are currently showing under your Job Post and another one has been saved. If Freelancer accepts Invitation, message room will be created for you and your Freelancer, and you will be able to communicate with them. Otherwise, if Freelancer declines invitation, it will appear under Review Proposals - Archived.
