low Job success score. Any help?

Hello,
I'm new to Upwork, and I have earned over 300$ in about one month. I get good feedback and one client hired me more than once.
Is there any chance to get my JSS over 90%? When will it change?
It's now 63%. This is really frustrating.
Thanks in advance.

My guess is private feedback is killing you. You also claim you are a Native English speaker which you clearly are not. So clients may not recommend you (especially for your writing) which will lower your JSS.

It's very important to be honest on your profile because clients can ding you for it privately.

If you have refunded unhappy clients, their feedback still counts against your JSS. Contracts tgat display on your profile may have poor private feedback, but I believe it's the (probably) refunded ones.

You're deep under, it's gonna to be hard to get back on track, but not impossible. Your profile is not good at all: you try to do so much different things that you look like a jack of many trades who specialize in none. Someone who would do anything for money.

Hello Rene K and the Upwork Community,

Thanks a lot for all the great information.

I find myself in a similar situation.

Currently my JSS is 75% and I need to work hard to improve it.

I refunded 2 customers in the past 2 years and it must have affected my JSS.

I believe that I need to be more carefull accepting contracts in the future.

I will start asking feedback from all my customers (included those I reimbursed) to better understand how to improve.

I currently list all the following mistakes.

1) Before accepting the job
Clearify the deadlines and requirements
Providing/Updating requirement documents

Extensively Researching/Reading the requirement documents

Agreeing on the technical details/architecture for the solution

Agreeing on a sample mockup of the application

Building a sample mockup of the application if not provided

2) After accepting the job
Communicating with the customer and solving potential issues
Getting daily feedback on the work from the customer

Using Project Management software (Trello, Asana)

I would be very happy to receive your and the customer feedback to improve in the future.

Thanks a lot
I wish you a good day
Fabrizio
