unable to edit profile. Keep asking me to remove HTML mark up

I already  have an approved profile.  I tried to edit it and even removing one letter, it will not let me save the changes. It keeps telling me to " please remove HTML markup" 

But I don't have any or don't know what it is referring to. 

I want to edit some of the texts in my profile. 

I am using Chrome. I have logged out and logged in. 

I've cut the existing profile and replace with new one, and the same message will show up.

I have used some symbols to list bullet points, but even after removing it, 

it will not allow me to save edits. and again "please remove HTML mark up" 

pls help.
