Account removed and money was not refunded to client.

Recently my friend **Edited for Community Guidelines** upwork account was suspended without reason.

And there was about 2500$ on the upwork account.

Upwork asked her do identity and location verification process.

She did it well and upwork informed her that she successfully passed all verification process.

But suddenly her account has been removed and she can't even login to her account.

She was trying to get money at least but nobody knows where the money is. The money has not been refunded to client either.

Where is the money? Upwork took it? 

I am very curious about this.

As the account in question is not yours, Upwork will not give you any information whatsoever about it.

Your "friend" will have to contact Upwork on their own.

They even closed her account. So when she typed email at the first screen and click Next, it says "Oops! Username is incorrect." though it was the email registered to upwork.
