Portfolio for Software Developement

Hi,

How would you imagine a portfolio for a software engineer?
More precisely when you act mostly in the backend, where there's no nice or fancy pages, styles, etc.

I was wondering how can I add true value and notable details in my portfolio.

Sometimes working in a such nice application development, but only in the backend. Getting the page and showing that seems not fair, since wasn't me who developed the frontend.

Considering sometimes the NDA where you cannot expose sensitivy information or almost none.

You can create vidoes of your work/softwares and upload it on youtube/file sharing site and then you can add them in the portfolio section. And trust me, it's gonna work better than anything else. Video presentation is better than any other. In my opinion. 🙂
