Here's a referance(to avoid duplication) to the topic I would like to direct your attention towards.

Thanks.

Never seen that before... somebody starting a forum thread for the sole purpose of advertising a different forum thread. You crazy kids!

Well, I couldn't find a way to migrate it and it felt wrong to just copy and paste...

Why dont you rewrite/redirect to serve pretty URLs?

ummm... I could do that in this very particular case, and I would if my life depended on it, but it wouldn't make the issue any less outrageous, you know. And I don't really consider those pathy URLs pretty. If anything, they are cryptic, confusing and sneaky. I'm very happy with the way my URLs are right now, and have no problem typing them out by hand form memory. I guess there is a sweet spot between the two ways, but again, this is, a bit, off topic.

So ... provide the encoded url.

I have seen that upwork encodes this type of urls but not yours, maybe theres something to tweak on your side.

So you couldn't convince me to make my URLs prettier, now you want me to make them uglier? Smiley Happy

Why must I do that? I didn't see a warning anywhere telling  "sorry, we are too incompetent to encode URLs, please do that yourself".

And just to clarify, my problem is not that I can't encode URLs. I can. My problem is that upwork can't encode URLs. And the fact that we are fortunate enough to be aware of some workarounds doesn't change anything.
And what do you mean by "my side"? We are talking about a website not being able to redirect to an absolutely legitimate URL, right? What's my side here? My browser or something? Or, I guess, my links are not pretty enough to be treated normally, so they must URL escape themselfes, cause it's tottally cool to hate links like that, and it's their fault for not hiding...

Knowing some workarounds does change something ... you can present yourself to prospect clients in a professional way, drama free.

I meant it doesn't change anything in regards to the original issue. Yes, if I felt particularly selfish, I could just use a workaround, and never care, but, you know, this community... forum... place... as far as I understand, is about being helpful to the community, right? There might be people out there who are not aware of any workarounds, or the fact that upwork might be breaking some of their links in the first place. So I'll keep those links on my page the way they are now, as examples.
Thanks for the suggestions anyway, maybe they would helpful for someone reading this.
