Account Suspended

Please resolve my issue !!
I am not able to submit proposals as it says "you can't submit a proposal because your account is suspended.".
However, when I submitted an appeal to unsuspend my account they responded that my account is not suspended. Please resolve my issue.
I'm not getting a proper support on this. I've been only asked to clear cache & cookies & I've tried it several times but doesn't work. Also, the same issue persists on mobile app. There must be a technical issue then. Please investigate this matter.

Hi Hassaan,

 

If the action buttons that you usually use are grayed out, the Trust & Safety team may have suspended your account. In that case, you will have received a support ticket with an email notification about the action on your account. Please refer to your ticket on this page and reply to the email if you have any questions for the team.

Hi, I'm posting here on behalf of my friend cause she can't sign into her account. Her email is **Edited for Community Guidelines**


I've been on upwork since 2014, earned 100k+, have been top rated and have passed multiple verification checks. Today, I got an email saying that my account has been put on hold for so called 'irregular activity' and asking me to verify my identity. It also contained a link to a support ticket. But I can't open the ticket, can't even log into my account, instead I get a message 'Your account has been closed. Please contact customer support if you would like to reopen your account.' 
I currently have two active jobs with funded milestones and I can't even contact my customers. The only irregular activity I can think of is using vpn service (I have veePN extension in my browser) but as far as I know vpn usage is not prohibited. What to make of it?

You can advise your friend to contact support directly for assistance. They should be able to contact our support team via the chatbot without logging in.

  2. Type a question or topic and select 'Send.' The bot will find relevant Help articles for you.
  3. The chatbot will ask you to confirm if you need additional help. If you confirm that you need further help, you will be asked to confirm the account type you need help with.

Thanks, but it didn't work. The bot told her to appeal an account suspension, she did it and received an email that  the account either doesn’t exist or is still active (not suspended). I'm attaching her screenshots.

Could you provide further assistance? Support keeps asking her to verify her identity by following a secure link but when she clicks on the link it redirects her to login screen and she can't log in.

Hi Upwork members,

This query is my friend, please helfout to find the solution. 

His account is suspended due to residency verificatin, he has submitted his ID and bank statement, after that he received an email that is ID has been verified, but account is still on hold. Ticket by Upwrok team is open but no response from last 7 days. His ticket no.  is ID#45326297. He is worried about his account that is more than 3 years old and top rated on Upwork. The most important, his previous clinets are contact with him for more projects but unable to see his profile. Your prompt and quick response will be highly appriciated.

I am sorry to hear about your friend's account. I checked the support ticket and can confirm that it is already in the queue with the relevant team. One of our team members will respond to the request as soon as possible. I won't be able to discuss further about other user's accounts for privacy and security reasons but I recommend the account owner to continue communicating via the same support ticket to check the status of their account.

I am unable to access my account and have had to create a new account, as it seems to be the only way to seek assistance. My account was blocked due to my previous residence in Russia; however, since 2022, I have been living in India.

 

Whenever I attempt to log into my account, I receive a notification stating that the account is blocked. I tried submitting a form for assistance, but received an automated reply stating:

"However, the account you submitted it for either doesn't exist or is still active (not suspended)."

 

I am at a loss on how to proceed with resolving this issue. I am aware that creating a second account is against the rules, but I found no alternative means to get in touch.

 

I am earnestly hoping for your assistance. Thank you.

hi:
i send proposal at México  say: "need spanish who can undrestand and spanish.My account  isn't verify soon. In saturday 11/02/2024. i work and  send proposal: " Inteligencia  Artificial y su utilidad en el trabajo"; and the monday my client has been suspend acount availible. I lost comunication, money,  time work and all, whit the page  of client and i am work all week for more articles, but for fault comunication i can´t send more jobs.

Please agree the account by not suspend my client.

Dear Upwork Support,

I am writing to respectfully request the reconsideration of the permanent suspension of my Upwork account **Edited for Community Guidelines**.

This is Muhammad Younus, as I am very much frustrated with the suspension my account and now get notificaiton that my account is permanantly blocked without any reason. 

 

Here is the Story from Bank issue to Permanantly blockage of my account

 

  • Received Email to Verify Identity until your account temprory suspended Feb 5
  • I received Notification from upwork that My identity have been verified and I can submit proposal Feb 6
  •  I wait 72 Hours and did apeal again and receive that below response from upwork support.
    • We are closing this ticket because the ticket is already open and agent will reply you soon in next 24 to 48Hours please don't open duplicate ticket if you have further question update the same ticket Feb 8
  • I follow instructions and ask upwork support in the same ticket when my account will be reinstated but no reply from Support Feb 6 to Feb 16 

 

I am eager to resolve any outstanding issues that may have caused this action. While I am not aware of having committed any violations of Upwork's Terms of Service, I do acknowledge that misunderstandings can occur. If any of my actions have been misconstrued, I sincerely apologize.

 

I have an established track record on Upwork as a top-rated freelancer with over 140 successfully completed contracts, consistently receiving high recommendations from my clients. This demonstrates my commitment to offering excellent service and adhering to your platform's standards.

 

I would be grateful if you would kindly provide me with specific information regarding any rule violations that led to the suspension. I have taken the time to carefully review Upwork's Terms of Service and will make every effort to avoid future errors.

If the account is permanently suspended and he or she has money inside how will the owner withdraw the money and what is going to happen with the money
