Dear Upwork Community Moderators,
I wanted to reach out to see if Upwork can verify the portfolios of freelancers.
I’ve been looking for talent on Upwork and was surprised to find some freelancers claiming they worked on our projects. It seems like they might be using our work to enhance their profiles without permission. Doesn’t that go against Upwork’s rules? Can Upwork verify the projects listed in freelancer profiles?

Sure. FL must post only own work in portfolio, With client's permission who paid that job (if required).
Feel free to report stolen\fake\restricted items if you see it. In many cases your report will be ignored but with obstinacy enough reported items will be removed and FL punished.

I think Upwork really can’t Ingore this. Using someone else’s project to showcase their own work is just wrong! It not only misrepresents their skills but also undermines the trust in the platform. If freelancers are allowed to do this, it could hurt genuine talent and make it harder for clients to find the right people for their projects. We need to ensure that everyone is being honest about their work.
Can Any Upwork Support Moderator have a look at this?

Hi Dario,
Thanks for reaching out! We want to look into this for you. Please send me a PM with more information so I can check with the team. Additionally, you can flag a freelancer profile. This will automatically notify our team so that they can review it. You can check this help article for more information about how you can report to Upwork.

Hi Joanne
Thanks for your reply. I already did flag those freelancer profiles but it looks like Your Upwork Team ignores them.
