Hi Upwork Community,
I recently joined Upwork and was thrilled to achieve Rising Talent status and maintain a 100% Job Success Score (JSS) with three previous 5-star reviews. However, I encountered an unfortunate situation with a new client who mistakenly canceled our project and requested a refund.
When I woke up, I noticed my JSS had dropped. I reached out to Upwork's support team via (FILE A Dispute) to explain the situation, and the client confirmed on the chat that the cancellation was indeed a mistake on his part. I was actively working on his project and even offered to return his funds and will be happy to work on a new contract.
Despite this, the Upwork team is not restoring my JSS or Rising Talent badge. I’m confused as to why I should bear the consequences of a mistake made by the client.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated!

JSS cannot be restored or adjusted. Your current score is 83%, likely due to negative private feedback. Even if your client canceled the contract by mistake, they would have still been prompted to provide feedback. While public feedback can be modified under certain conditions, this does not apply to JSS.

Thank you for responding to my issue. The client himself accepting that he didn't give any bad feedback. Whom to believe? BTW, It's 86% now.
