Hello, I am a bit concerned of when I should receive payments for a withdrawal made on 22nd Dec taking into consideration the Christmas holiday. However, Upwork states that the expected date of delivery is between 27th-29th Dec.
I am afraid to face the new year without my payments and the 8-business days law would be search a heart breaker.

I have looked into the fund withdrawal you mentioned and I can verify that it was successfully completed on our side. Direct to Local Bank withdrawal normally takes four business days. If you don't see the transaction in your account after eight business days, please let us know and we will assist you further. Please also keep in mind that bank holidays in the U.S. and your location may impact these withdrawals. I see that you have already initiated a support ticket for the same concern. You can also respond to the same support ticket if you need further assistance.

I have the same issue it's now passed 25-27th December payment period Upwork is disappointing me. After they pay me, I'm deleting my account I hate how they are not even helping me with this issue.

It's now 6 days and my payment hasn't Ben been processed. No information about the status from support. They just write a lot about holidays blahblah without even checking the status. This is so unacceptable! I believe, Upwotk is delaying payouts at year end o beautify the books and doesn't give a thing about us who don't get their money! The first of the month is coming up and people have to pay their recurring costs. It looks like Upwork only cares about how they look like, probably to sell the platform or to be able to show numbers to investors or board. All on our costs! This is getting worse and worse here and they are killing freelancers! I wish I wouldn't depend on my jobs here. I can't sleep anymore because of this! This threatens my existence!

I requested payment to my bank last week and it hasn't arrived. Usually this takes 1-2 days.
I am concerned as this is the first time it has happened in 4+ years of being with Upwork.
What is going on? Why isn't Upwork alerting us to any payment issues?

Hi,
just wondering if anyone else is experiencing payment delays at the moment?
I withdrew direct to bank on December 31st, yet still don't have these funds in my account.
I am so disappointed with Upwork, we already wait ages for payments to go through the "pending" stage, to then be waiting days after making a withdrawal is just ridiculous. I can see why people are leaving this platform, it is impossible to work as a freelancer like this when you constantly wait for money.

I have contacted my bank and they have confirmed in writing, a copy of which I have provided in the support ticket I have raised, that they have not received funds from your end. Hence why there are no funds deposited in my account.
This is not the first time this has happened to me, OCtober 2022 I went through the exact same thing and after complaining until I was literally blue in the face, miraculously finds appeared after 12 days! TWELVE!!!
So I guess I'll use this same tactic now 14 months later and whine, complain and literally beg for you guys to send the funds to my bank. CHEERS!

I received messages, that my payment was processed today, 5th January. The withdrawal was done by me on 23rd December. The money arrived before that, thankfully, but the point is, no sorry, explanation or anything from Upwork. The support ticket was simply closed with the note that the payment was processed and will be in my account 3-7 days after. So much mess-up, wasting my time and stretching my patience, and no "we are sorry". Very poor. If I would handle my customers like that... I have lost all my trust in Upwork.

I absolutely agree with what you have posted. I'm currently still waiting for funds to hit my account that were allegedly processed on 31 December, and the most disappointing aspect of this (aside from not having my hard earned funds) is the lack of empathy and accountability by Upwork.
In response to my support ticket raised, I was given a link to a video to watch and told this was sk I could "understand the payment process"... a quick look at my account would indicate I'd been an Upwork user for years so I'm well versed in the process.
Customer service is really lacking at the moment. With all the $$ they are making off the back of us having to purchase heaps more connects now to apply for projects and the portion of our earnings they take for this "service" it's really quite disappointing!

You write, on your website, that the same-day processing cutoff time is 12:00 pm (noon) UTC. Transfers after that will be processed the next business day.
I requested a payment at 9:10 am UTC (3 hours before the cutoff time). And I still have no email that my payment was processed. I always received it in 10–15 minutes. There are no banking holidays in the US, Poland where I reside, the UK where the money is processed, and Ireland where the money was processed before.
How do you select those who can be processed on the same day? Thanks

I'm a Top Rated member, and usually, I withdraw my funds early and send them to my local bank (Union Bank). I initiated the withdrawal on January 5, 2024, around 9:00 AM. However, this is the first time I haven't received it within the day. Now, it's January 6, 2024, at 3:33 AM here in the Philippines, and still, the money isn't in my bank account. Yesterday, I was notified 30 minutes after I withdrew my money about the transaction got processed. Can someone please help me?
