Direct to Local Bank withdrawal not received

i was transfer balance on 29.02.2023 through direct bank payment. but still not received the balance in my bank. what should i do Now?? please help

Hi Morrison,

 

Thank you for reaching out to us. I checked and can confirm the transaction you're referring to was successful on our end. Direct to local bank transfers are processed within 4 business days, but it can take up to 7 business days to arrive at your bank. Holidays in the US and in your location can also delay the process. Please let us know if after 8 business days the funds are still not reflected in your account so we can initiate a trace for you.

Hi,

    I ahve requated a payment withdrawal on Friday (29th March 2024) and the payment was processed that day itself before 12 noon UTC. Till today it is not replected in my bank account. I assume this is unusual, as I always gets money within a couple of hours after the payment is processed. Please help me in this regards.

As the payment was processed by Upwork, only two things could have gone wrong:

 

1) Your local bank (or its international affiliate) is delaying the payment. This could be because of the holidays (Easter Friday, Easter Sunday, Bank Closing on 1 April).

 

2) Your local bank could have rejected the payment. Incredibly, that has happened to me once. If that happens, your payment (minus the 99 cents for withdrawal) is returned to Upwork. So check to see if funds have been returned to Upwork.

 

Also note that though the payment usually reaches the local bank within a few hours after it has been processsed by Upwork (if the withdrawal is done early in the day and processed by noon), Upwork does state: “We have processed your payment request submitted on 29-Mar-2024. Your payment may take up to 5 business days to arrive at your bank.”

Thanks Ravindra fro the response. Money is still not credited to my bank account. I talked to the bank and they dont find any transaction done by the upwork or its alleids on the said date. According to them, if the Upwork has processed the money on friday, it could have credited on the same day itself, as the NEFT and online transactions were not affected by the bank holidays. I dont know, where my hard earned money went.

I agree with you that NEFT and online transactions should not be affected by holidays.
29 March 2024 was indeed a holiday, but Upwork did process the wirhdrawal (for which it needed to interact with the Indian bank or its affiliate).

If you look at the confirmation email you received from Upwork, you will see this statement near the end:

"Please contact your bank to get the exact deposit date in case of delay. If an issue arises, we can trace a missing payment for you at no charge after 8 business days." (emphasis mine)

I would like to ask for some help regarding my withdrawal using a direct bank, I managed to withdraw my earnings on March 18, 2024, but still now (April 1, 2024) I have not received my earnings and already checked my bank account, I reach out already using Upwork online support but they don't give me updates about it, after that I double check again my withdrawal history I notice the transaction was been erase cause it says "You haven’t made any withdrawals yet." and my available balance is 0, I just wanted some updates on it.

When you send money to the local bank directly, you receive two emails, 1 to inform you that the process has started and the other to tell you that the payment is confirmed which indicates that the money is from Upwork side, Have you received these emails ?

Yes, Sir, I received the two emails, the one says "You requested payment from Upwork via Direct to Local Bank transfer account." and the other one says "We have processed your payment request submitted on 18-Mar-2024. Your payment may take up to 5 business days to arrive at your bank"

I withdrew money from Upwork at 5:36 AM (IST) [12:06 AM (UTC)] on Friday, 29 March 2024.

 

I received the confirmation email from Upwork at 10:55 AM (IST) [5:25 AM (UTC)] on the same day

 

The money has not yet arrived in my bank.

I have received my payment, but I seem to have received somewhat less (just Rs 10.05) than the expected amount.

 

Upwork always provides a disclaimer: This amount does not include any fees your bank may deduct.

 

But in the past, there has not been any deduction by the bank, and I have always gotten the amount calculated using the provided exchange rate.

Hi. Appreciate it if you can help me as well. I withdrew my funds yesterday April 2, 2024 and typically it will reflect to my account after 2 hours. Until now, I have not received it. Please help as I needed the funds very badly. If you could help me raise a ticket for this please.

I checked your account but did not see any recent transactions. Your last transaction was back in March, showing that the transaction was successful. Is that the transaction you're referring to?

We understand the importance of ensuring your earnings reach you safely and promptly. If your earnings have been sent to a closed bank account, they will usually be returned to your Upwork account if the transfer fails. Feel free to message us if you do not receive your funds to your account after eight business days.

I recently (Apr 5, 2024) initiated a withdrawal of my available balance to my local bank account in Pakistan for the first time. However, I haven't observed the payment reflected in my bank account yet. Could you kindly provide me with an estimate of the processing time for such withdrawals to appear in my bank account? Please be informed that Direct to Local Bank transaction is processed within four business days. If the transaction still hasn't reflected on your account after eight business days, let us know and we will assist you further. Please also take note that bank holidays both in the U.S, and your location may affect these withdrawals.
