Hi,
I am using google sign-in to do the login to Upwork.
But now, I do not want to use my google sign anymore.
I want to use a separate Upwork username & password to login.
Please guide.

Hi!
Unfortunately, I have the same issue.
I have google sign in active, and anytime I want to update something on my profile (tax info, or even to disconnect google sign in) the system is asking me for the password.
I input the right password of my Gmail account, but is giving me an error.
I tried to reach to Support directly following the solution provided in this article, e.g. via the chat bot, but it's not giving me the option to reach to support, is just giving me the same answer of disconnecting google sign in.
Could you please create a ticket on my behalf and disconnect my google sign in, keeping the same email? Please help 🙂

Hi Upwork Support, I’ve been trying to reset my password through my account settings, but I’m encountering some issues. Every time I attempt to change it, the system logs me out, and when I try to log back in using my Google account, it doesn’t let me. I have to open a new browser tab just to access my account again. I’m registered and typically log in through my Google account, which might be part of the problem because I can’t use my Google password for Upwork. Is there a way to set a specific Upwork password? I can’t add a payment method without this. I’ve already invested in your platform and believe we can both benefit greatly from this collaboration. Please advise on how I can resolve this issue and set a unique Upwork password. Thank you!

I have changed my email address as I no longer am apart of a company I was part founder in. I switched the email on the account and now when I go to login its forcing me to use gmail. When I sign in with gmail its not working. I have seen countless posts about this but the only workaround I had was creating another account in order to post on this forum. I love upwork but this is extremely frustrating as all support chats loop you around to avoid connecting you with an agent. Please can someone help?

Upwork requires me to enter my password (again) to make account changes, but they do not allow me to use my Google sign-in (again) and will not accept my manual Google password. I need to update my info to move forward. *I tried shutting off the Google sign-in, but once again, it requires a manual password, which Upwork does not accept. I also cannot add my billing details -- it's saying that my bank info is incorrect, which it is not. Does Upwork not have customer support? I've tried to find a way to connect to resolve this issue so I can post a job.

I have my upwork account connected to a gmail account that cannot be recovered (believe me i tried).

I'm having the same issue too. I login with my Goggle account and in order to get paid it asks for my password. I tried my Google account login but it's not working. I needed this money for my family during a hurricane coming our way. Thanks
