Don't have access to Verified Phone Number / Not receiving security code on my phone

I don't have access to my old verified phone number and need to update it with a new one.

Hi Daniel,

 

If you need help with your phone number because you're not receiving the code or don't have access to it anymore, we’ll need to ask you to confirm some private account details in order to help you. At Upwork, protecting your privacy is our priority. With this in mind, it would be best if you reach out directly to our support team so they can assist you within a private and secure channel of communication. 

 

How do I reach a human in customer support?

 

  1. Please visit Contact Support and click the ‘Chat with Upwork' button.
  2. Type a question or topic and select ‘Send’. The bot will find relevant Help articles for you.
  3. The chatbot will ask you to confirm if you need additional help. If you confirm that you need additional help, you will be asked to confirm the account type you need help with.
  4. From there, the support options available to you will be listed. Select either of the options to be able to contact the Upwork Support Team.

Please solve my problem, I can't switch to my Upwork account's settings to change my phone number, because my phone number is wrong. I can't receive any 6-digit text message code to enter my Upwork account settings.

I previously set the authenticator apps code and phone number code as verification in my account settings, but now I get the authenticator apps code but I don't get the phone number code, because my phone number is missing a digit, the phone number is wrong, I want to change it, but I can't. Please help me in this situation.

i can't get any code to enter the account settings, then change my hpne number.

I tried to get support from Upwork support, but they gave me an article blog.

Hi, I am facing the same problem. Tried resending the code to my verified phone several times, but with no result. I used to choose to receive codes on my email instead of phone number, but as per upwork security suggestion recently turned off "code to email" option. And, now since i am not receiving the verification code to my phone, I don't have any other option left to use. Help please.

Hello Community,

Recently I've changed my phone number and wanted to change my 2-step for upwork too. I deleted my old number from Upwork and was trying to add the new one. But the problem is that the code is not showing my number. In that case, I tried multiple times. And now it says the service is unavailable. The last time I posted, a community member added a support ticket. But that time there was an error from upwork End. So I couldn't fix the problem. Maybe now the problem is solved from the upwork end and I also want to solve it from my end too.
