How Do I Reopen Closed Account

in attempt to close my client account and keep the freelancer side of it, i closed my whole account! and i don't have a clue about how to get it back so please help me, thanks in advance.

PS: I'm using this fake account just to access this chat box.

With this in mind, it would be best if you reach out directly to our support team so they can assist you within a private and secure channel of communication. 

 

How do I reach a human in customer support?

 

  1. Please visit Contact Support and click the 'Chat with Upwork' button.
  2. Type a question or topic and select 'Send'. The bot will find relevant Help articles for you.
  3. The chatbot will ask you to confirm if you need additional help. If you confirm that you need additional help, you will be asked to confirm the account type you need help with.
  4. From there, the support options available to you will be listed. Select either of the options to be able to contact the Upwork Support Team.

Heyo! I've lost access to my email on a different fiverr account, If there's any way I could prove ownership/create a support ticket that would be awesome! I've tried submitting a request ticket but it shows up as a blank page.

I forgot the Email I used to create my original Upwork account and would like to get in contact with anyone from the Upwork support team that can help me recover it.

 

This account was not created with the intent to break any rules or guidelines of the site and will be deleted as soon as my issue is resolved.

My old account closed due to inactivity. My account is created with my primary email and don't want to manage to emails. I opened this account only to reach support. I see in community upwork not close accounts due to inactivity. Please help me restore my account. I will close this account after your confirmation.

They say "Your account may have been closed due to being inactive, and cannot be accessed already". And they also say "They may not be able to restore your account, the email address cannot be used on a different account, and Freelancers can only have 1 account". Then what should I say? Please help who has access to know account details. My old account is with my primary email and I don't want to manage two different emails. I will close this account after confirmation. Because I'm not able to reach support and post in the community without login.

Karan, as Arjay mentioned, since you already have a ticket with the appropriate team, it would be best if you reply to that ticket so that the team can continue assisting you. Rest assured they'll get back to you.

Hi 


I have a pre-existing account using my number, but I don't have any acces to it. I don't know the email used or password. How do I gain access to this account to delete it and continue with a new one? I cannot contact anyone and the AI support is not useful 😞

I had same similar issue. Except I know the email. I lost access to it. I couldn't reset password because it wanted to go back to that email. The phone I had is now toast. I was left with no choice but to start over. All my old connects, gone!

Hi, my name is Tola Daniel, I had to open this temporal account to communicate with a human support team. I am aware that this is against the Terms of Services please hear me out.

My account was suspended last week Friday 3rd of November 2023. While I was still trying to locate the message sent to my Upwork account as I did not receive an email so that I could appeal, my account was closed within a few hours. So I appealed through support and I was given an appeal ticket number however I have not received a response or been able to check the status of this appeal for 6 days now because I am always redirected to log into my account which I cannot access anymore.

I can provide all of my account details as I really need help in recovering my account and also getting paid for a project I completed for a client. Please I need help.

Dear [Support Team],

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Hamza, and I am writing to urgently request your assistance in reinstating my seller graphic designer account.

Yesterday night, I intended to close my client account, as I decided to focus solely on my seller account. However, upon clicking the "Close Account" button, both of my accounts were unexpectedly closed within 5-10 minutes.

I promptly submitted a request for assistance through the support system, but unfortunately, I have not received any positive response in the past 24 hours. This has left me without access to track the status of my request.

To expedite the process and ensure a swift resolution, I have created this new email. And I am just using this new email to access my request.

I kindly request your urgent attention to this matter, as the closure of both accounts has significantly impacted my ability to carry out my work as a seller graphic designer.

Reopening your Upwork account is definitely doable. Have you checked the Upwork support center or contacted their customer support to get guidance on the specific steps you need to take? It's usually a process that involves submitting a request. If you encounter any roadblocks, their support team should be able to assist you in getting back on track.

I send the request to the support and i only got email that please allow 48 hours to review your account but almost 24 hours passed they didn't give me any positive response.

Hello! I've moved from Belarus to Poland due to situation in my country. I have not been using my Upwork account for some time but now need it and can not recover it. When i try to log in I get this message: We're sorry, your account has been locked because we've suspended operations in Russia and Belarus.

 

I've tried to send an appeal but I had this answer:

We see you submitted a request to appeal an Upwork account suspension.
However, the account you submitted it for either doesn't exist or is still active (not suspended).

 

So the only option I've found is to create this temporary account to contact support. I have all documents like working visa, id, documents allowing to work here in Poland and pay taxes here, I'm ready to provide all the information to get access to my old account. I understand that the second account is violation of rules, but hope for understanding my situation, it seems the only option for me now. Please help me to get my account back

Hi Annie Jane! Thank you for an answer! Unfortunately when i clock on your name I can't see the "Send a message" option. Maybe there are some restrictions? When I click on View Profile there's a message : This profile is no longer available.

I want to change the answer because I don't remember the answer to the verification question. But Upwork has too many questions to answer. Due to the age of registration, I can no longer remember these answers.

Then Upwork asked me to verify my identity, but Upwork is a platform to find freelancers for my company. The user ID is not a real name. So my passport was not verified by Upwork.

I worked hard to find records of previous information, and I was able to answer most of the questions Upwork had to answer when revising the verification answers. But my explanation and request have been submitted for four days, and there is still no reply.
