How Do I Reopen Closed Account

in attempt to close my client account and keep the freelancer side of it, i closed my whole account! and i don't have a clue about how to get it back so please help me, thanks in advance.

PS: I'm using this fake account just to access this chat box.

How do I reach a human in customer support?

 

  1. Please visit Contact Support and click the 'Chat with Upwork' button.
  2. Type a question or topic and select 'Send'. The bot will find relevant Help articles for you.
  3. The chatbot will ask you to confirm if you need additional help. If you confirm that you need additional help, you will be asked to confirm the account type you need help with.
  4. From there, the support options available to you will be listed. Select either of the options to be able to contact the Upwork Support Team.

Hello,

I was trying to log in to my old Upwork account, but I got an alert saying my account had been closed and to contact support to get it open again.

 

I could find no way to contact support without logging in first, which of course I cannot do since my account is closed.

 

I had to open a new account, but I still want to get my old one back. How can I go about recovering it?

yesterday I tried to create a new account and closed it afterwards by mistake and now I cannot reopen it. I tried resolving the issue with the chatbot but unsuccessfuly. Can you help me with that?

Hello,

 

I am posting this on behalf of someone else (since they have trouble logging into Upwork). 

They had previously created an account but closed it a year ago. Now on trying to create a new account, a message of "This email is already in use" appears. At the same time, the login page also turns up the message "Oops! Username is incorrect".

Kindly help. I can provide more identity verification in DMs.

Hello,

 

I have an account with Upwork linked to the**Edited for Community Guidelines**email address. I try to reach my account but I get a message "Your account has been blocked because we've suspended operations in Russia and Belarus."

How can I possibly get my account unblocked as I am not in either of these.

Hi!
My old email was **Edited for Community Guidelines**, but since I changed my phone I had so
much trouble accessing the account.
I opened another gmail account and tried to add it to the upwork account.

I had this request, but after I changed the password and tried to log in
again, my password was not working.

I recently closed my business account. I don't really want to be useing my personal account for business. Can you please re-instate my work account as a matter of priority. I have contacted Upwork several times but they have failed to respond. The email address for my business account is no longer in use.

Hi All,

 

I'm becoming increasingly with Upwork and the moderators. I have sent several direct messages to these so called moderators as they have failed to escalate my case. I am unable to reopen my account and have waited weeks for them to respond. Really bad customer service - How many direct messages do you need with my details?

Hi Team,

I created a casual profile a whle back and now I wanted to create a proper one using my CV etc. I used my professional email when I created the account first. I closed that account and started fresh. I couldnt reuse my professional email as system wouldnt allow me (emal already exists).

So i created an account using my private email, now I want to change my new account's email to my professional one. How do I do that?
