How Do I Reopen Closed Account

in attempt to close my client account and keep the freelancer side of it, i closed my whole account! and i don't have a clue about how to get it back so please help me, thanks in advance.

PS: I'm using this fake account just to access this chat box.

How do I reach a human in customer support?

  3. The chatbot will ask you to confirm if you need additional help. If you confirm that you need additional help, you will be asked to confirm the account type you need help with.

Hi everyone,

I'm a freelancer on Upwork with over 3 years of experience. I opened my account when I was living in Bulgaria, using a Yahoo email address. A year ago, I moved to Portugal and continued freelancing on Upwork. As part of my move, I got rid of my Bulgarian phone number, which was linked to my Upwork account.

Unfortunately, Yahoo blocked my email address because I hadn't logged in for over a year (I forwarded my emails to my Gmail address, so I didn't need to login :/). This means that I can no longer access my Upwork account, and I'm unable to recover it using the standard methods.

I've spoken with Yahoo, and they're unable to help me recover my account. I've also tried to recover my Bulgarian phone number, but that's also been unsuccessful.

My Upwork profile is "Top Rated Plus," and I've worked hard for three years to build it up. I can't afford to lose it.

Any idea how I recover my Upwork account? I'm happy to provide any documentation that's needed to verify my identity and ownership of the account.

Hi everyone,

I was recently locked out of my account, and the nice support representative that handled my case was unable to verify my identity. She informed me that the security team would be in touch with me to verify my identity, but it has been 5 days and I have not heard from them yet. My profile is very important to me, and I have worked hard for 3 years to build it up. I have finally reached the "top rated plus" level, and now I am locked out.

Does anyone know how I can contact the security team directly? I would be very grateful for your help.

Sorry to bother you. I was requested by the security team to upload my passport and I received this message: "Hi Sivan,  Thank you for uploading your documents. 
Please provide us with a secure email address that you would like to use for your Upwork account. Please make sure it has not been used to Upwork before.
 Regards, Upwork Account Security". I provided the email address and since then I haven't heard back from them, it was 2 days ago. Any chance that you can help me with that? I really need access to my account to start generating some income. Many Many thanks, Sivan.

I lost access to my email account that was linked to my upwork account. Now I am unable to login to my upwork account. Please Somebody from the support help me to recover this account as it was my only source of income. I have active projects on the account that needs to be completed.

So basically I want to reopen my account because I spent over 60$ worth of connects to apply for jobs, After that I got suspended and then the account got closed.

(when i got suspended all of the proposals got withdrawn and i did not got any connects back so i just wasted my money)

 

I also had a customer that I was editing his videos and now I lost him because the account is closed.

My account had an upwork membership +, and a badge worth of connects.

I spent money on connects, lost them because of the account getting closed and I had customers waiting for my services as a freelancer.

So I want a refund if possible, and if not I want the connects back or atleast my account.

i've been contacting upwork support for 20 days + to reopen my account, but its bot that are answering to me and they are not helping.

they once emailed me a list of 10 things they need to locate my account but after that they did not respond to my messege i sent them. i just want to reopen my account and work on my only job for now.. you should help me more than a bot did.

I have been trying to get my account since 12 of october, so please do your best to get my account back.

First of all, spent 20 minutes trying to find the "Get support"" button in the Help Center with no luck. I even had to log in to my private account to add this topic, which is ridiculous considering I have a problem that prevents me from logging in at all. 

 

I opened account on my company email, but accidantally as a freelancer. So I closed the account and tried to open one as a client. Now I can't log in to that account because it's closed, but I can't create new one with that email address because it says it's in use. Can anyone help?

Hello UPWORK Community,

I am helpless. My Upwork account was suspended yesterday and today when I tried to log in it said the account didn't exist.Even When i try to create new account with same email it said account already exist.

I had pending payment in that account. Even to connect with community I had to create this temporary account because i was not able to login with my main account.

Hi,

 

I'd like to recover/ delete my old account, but I'm not completely sure of the email address associated with it, as when I try to log in with my old email, it says it's incorrect. My current phone number is linked to the account. I can't submit a ticket, as when I try going through the 'get help', I'm told my account does not qualify for agent based support. I can't create/finish creating a new account, as the phone number is already in use, and my address is not recognised.

Few months ago I found a client on upwork and he told me to come to telegram. At that time I was new to this field of freelancing and didn't have any idea about rules & regulations. He told me to post jobs on for his company on upwork and he will pay me a handsome amount. 

So I did what he said and in return my account got suspended. I also realized I got scammed. 

I appealed many times to upwork didn't responded. I even submitted my ID Card picture. I didn't have anything which prove my residency because my parents own everything. But they didn't listned and my account remain suspended.

Is there any way to recover that account because when I try to appeal and go to my tickets section. They say first login as my account is suspended how can I login to this.

If anyone from upwork team is reading this please reslove this issue.

I tried to set up an account with Upwork associated with my email address. It said it already existed. I then tried to reset the password, and it said the account didn't exist. I've now created an account associated with my work email in attempts to contact support. That failed, so now I'm posting on this forum. How do I resolve this issue and set up an account with my other email address?

Heyo! I've lost access to my email on a different fiverr account, If there's any way I could prove ownership/create a support ticket that would be awesome! I've tried submitting a request ticket but it shows up as a blank page.
