How Do I Reopen Closed Account

in attempt to close my client account and keep the freelancer side of it, i closed my whole account! and i don't have a clue about how to get it back so please help me, thanks in advance.

PS: I'm using this fake account just to access this chat box.

How do I reach a human in customer support?

 

  1. Please visit Contact Support and click the 'Chat with Upwork' button.
  2. Type a question or topic and select 'Send'. The bot will find relevant Help articles for you.
  3. The chatbot will ask you to confirm if you need additional help. If you confirm that you need additional help, you will be asked to confirm the account type you need help with.
  4. From there, the support options available to you will be listed. Select either of the options to be able to contact the Upwork Support Team.

I can't seem to figure out how to reach Upwork support.

 

My long time account has been closed and I don't know why.  The help pages ask me to contact customer support with the login that was closed but you can't login with that email address so that's sort of impossible.

 

I can't figure out how to create a trouble ticket to get this resolved.

 

What is going on here?  How can I get assistance?

Hi, John . i want to tell you that scroll down this page and click to 

'Help AND support" option.

and Email upwork and ask for help. What is your issue just talk to them.

I want to change my email to one I've used before, but it says it's already in use, even though I closed that email account. Hopefully anyone can help, thanks a lot.

Thank you for your message. I regret to inform you that you cannot use the same email address in case the email is already associated with a closed account.

I closed my account by myself before few months,but now need to reopen this account because there is some important project files!

I had an Upwork account that was connected to an email address that is no longer active or accessible. Upwork wants to send me a verification code to that old email - but I can't get to it.

 

I'd like to pull previous work/testimonials from that account to the new Upwork account I'm using now. But I can't access any of it. Any way to combine my new Upwork account with my old Upwork account? Thanks!

We understand that you want to incorporate your previous work and achievements from your closed account to the current one. However, users are only allowed to have one account, and having several ones violates the Upwork TOS.

I created an account not too long ago. The email i thought i initially used is saying that it is invalid. i have in my email that i signed up with a reciept after purchasing plus. My phone number is still linked to that account, but i am not able to log in bc it says invalid email. i even received an email monday saying i was invited to submit a proposal, but when i tried to log in email was "invalid"  how do i fix this?

hi joanne. if you actually read what i wrote, i stated that my email says it is INVALID. there is no way for me to submit for forgotten password because it says INVALID. my phone number is still tied to the account and so is my card info. i just want to now close the account bc i don't want to get charged for a account that i know exists but upwork practically says it doesn't.. can you help me with that?

A few months ago, while navigating to the Upwork settings page, I accidentally clicked on the 'close my account' button. Since then, my account associated with **Edited for Community Guidelines** has been closed and I have been unable to reopen it. I assure you that I have not violated any of Upwork's terms and conditions. You can review my account history to confirm this. Currently, I'm facing a serious financial crisis and need extra money for my family. Please, could you help me out?

Hello, I am a newbie at Upwork. Yesterday I accidentally clicked to close my account, causing the account to be logged out. Then I logged in and it showed that the email address could not be recognized. Registration showed that this email address was already registered. In this case, how long does it take for the email address to be released and re-registered?
