I wear a veil, how do I upload my profile picture with it on?

I wear a veil so i didn't upload my picture on my profile, instead used a cartoon. Now that i know there is no way around it and i have to put my real picture, I'm trying to change the picture and i cant. I have sent upwork my verification request already with my ID and real picture. I'm scared of they will suspend me?

Hey, i do not think it is working, because upwork is refusing to accept my identity verification and emailed me saying that i have a profile picture that is covered which is why they are not verifying me. Kindly help before my account goes on hold.

I have tried to request multiple times for identity verification, but its still not giving me verification. I am not getting both identity or visual verification. Visual verification is not showing option to try again. They have emailed me saying that my profile picture is covered which is why they are not giving me verification. About the profile picture , i requested for religious exemption and a community moderator helped me with it. But other than that, the support ticket i opened for religious exemption did not reply for many days.  So i do not know why they're not giving me verification due to the profile picture being in a veil. Kindly help, they will put my account on hold on 18 august and I'll lose a job, please please help urgently

I do veil for religious reasons, Upwork allowed to upload one when I first joined Upwork. Now I want to change my profile picture but I am scared Upwork won't allow me as they only allow face pictures.

Can someone tell me if is it fine if I change my display picture? The new one will be in the veil as well.

Of course, you can update your profile picture and still use one with a veil! Please go ahead and do that, it should be accepted.

I am a muslim and not allowed to uoad my picture on upwork profile. I can upload a picture in veil only. Please tell me how will it be approved.

While profile photos on Upwork must be an actual picture of you showing your full face, we do allow for certain exemptions. I've applied this exemption to your account as per your request. Could you please try uploading your profile picture one more time?

I have changed my profile picture to one with the veil. It was my graduation ceremony picture during covid. I didn't have any idea it would be a mess later. I have not yet completed the process because I am currently working on a contract, I am afraid my contract will end over there. It is my first job and I don't want to lose it. The picture is mine but it's in the veil. Is it possible if they could do an identification process on the previous photo? Kindly help me out with this. I have also submitted a request but there has been no response yet. Please help me out.

Thank you for reaching out to us. Upwork allows religious exemption when uploading profile pictures. Please let us know if you want to keep using the current picture that you have so we can apply the exemption. If you want to upload a different profile picture that's showing your face, you can proceed to change your profile picture by going to your profile and clicking on the pencil icon on your profile picture and uploading a new one.

Yes, I want to keep using but what about the visual verification process? I hope if I do that it will not hold my account. One more thing I am in the verification process I can not change the picture now. kindly guide me regarding this. If I keep the same photo my verification process will not fail. waiting for your response.
