Identity (ID) Verification

there is no menu item for verification by ID when I follow the link there is no such page either ... what is the problem please help me to pass verification. thanks

Hi Roman,

 

If you are eligible or required to receive an “Identity Verified” badge, you can complete the two stages by going to Identity Verification in your Settings.

 

You may be asked to complete a visual verification and provide a valid government-issued ID. Acceptable documents include passport, national ID card (NIC/CNIC), driver's license, NBI Clearance (Philippines only), tax ID, voter ID, postal ID, or any other valid government-issued photo ID that meets these criteria.

 

Note that we occasionally ask users to re-verify because periodic checks ensure their accounts continue to reflect accurate information. Our goal is to make this process as seamless as possible and we thank you for your contribution to keeping Upwork a professional and safe community.



If you don't see a way to verify, that may be because you're not eligible yet. Please know that verification cannot be requested, but is slowly being rolled out to all talent. If the team finds the need to verify your account, you will be notified through an email, or through a notification in your account.

Hello all , 

 

I want to change my profile photo but it showed me that i have to verify my ID , 

I can not verfiy my ID as it does not match the photo and vice versa 

 

Please assist me

Hello, This is Brandon. This morning, I uploaded my ID to verify my location, but it said to unable to authenticate Identify Verification. I can't reupload it again and contact to Upwork support. How can I solve this problem?

Hello,

 

My Upwork profile is in my maiden name. Now I'm married.

 

I've been asked to verify my location and only have documents with my married name. So there's a mismatch between my profile name and the documents I can provide to verify my location. To clarify, the first name and middle names are the same, but the last name is different.

 

What can I do?

The ticket response stated that there was a name mismatch and asked me to reupload documents. I don't have documents with my location and maiden name. The ticket didn't help with this problem and was closed by Upwork.

Hi,

 

I am meant to verify my identity by today. I have verified id and location, but I'm stuck at step 3, which is visual verification.

I have been using my android phone for the process. When it came to visual verification, it said position face in the oval and smile to take selfie. I then clicked on "Start", but the next page never loaded. Tried this many times. Is it because Im using an android phone?

 

I then tried on laptop. And chose the SMS to phone option. Got the SMS and clicked on the link, but it led me to the same issue again. The page not loading when Im supposed to take my selfie. I also tried the webcam option. The oval for the face does load but alas, it cant detect my face! What did I do wrong? Do I need to use the mobile app? Desktop app? For this to work perhaps??

 

Please advise asap so I can complete this last step.

when I try to submit a  proposal, it says that I have reached maximum tries in submitting a valid ID for verification.
How long does it take for me to try submitting again and what will be the process?

hey guys, I can't find the identity verification option on my sittings, even though my profile is 100% completed, I waited 15 days to receive an email from Upwork, but I didn't receive anything, Do you guys have any solution for that?

I have tried to verifiy my identity but it says "We're unable to process your ID at this time. You may be able to add your ID again later. " and when I do my selfie verification, it just says "We are reviewing your selfie which typically takes a few minutes, but could take up to 1 business day" it's been like that for a week now. I don't know what to do. My financial account got suspended because they didn't **Edited for Community Guidelines** verify my identity. Please help me.

I've submitted my ID for verification a while ago, but it is still showing the "We're reviewing your documents and will get back to you within 3 business day." note. How long will this take?

 

Would appreciate urgent reponse to this.

Hello there!

 

I think I have an issue regarding my identity verification. It's been 4-5 days since I submitted my selfie ID photo, but there's always a warning message popping up on top of my page saying that I need to verify my identity by 12/12/2022. The problem is, I don't have an ID Ticket in the My Requests section. I don't know why. Maybe I should do the selfie verification again? But I can't find an option to submit a new selfie photo. I have an ongoing project with my first client and I am worried that my account may get banned or suspended.

Thanks for any help you can provide in resolving this issue.
