Identity (ID) Verification

there is no menu item for verification by ID when I follow the link there is no such page either ... what is the problem please help me to pass verification. thanks

Hi Roman,

 

If you are eligible or required to receive an “Identity Verified” badge, you can complete the two stages by going to Identity Verification in your Settings.

 

You may be asked to complete a visual verification and provide a valid government-issued ID. Acceptable documents include passport, national ID card (NIC/CNIC), driver's license, NBI Clearance (Philippines only), tax ID, voter ID, postal ID, or any other valid government-issued photo ID that meets these criteria.

 

Note that we occasionally ask users to re-verify because periodic checks ensure their accounts continue to reflect accurate information. Our goal is to make this process as seamless as possible and we thank you for your contribution to keeping Upwork a professional and safe community.



If you don't see a way to verify, that may be because you're not eligible yet. Please know that verification cannot be requested, but is slowly being rolled out to all talent. If the team finds the need to verify your account, you will be notified through an email, or through a notification in your account.

Well, here is Massimo from Italy.

I think my English isn't good, chatting is okay, but speaking is too bad.

When the video call, is it okay with my bad English?

I have no idea about video call?

How many minutes will it take?
How many questions?
And if I don't speak English, then what will happen?

My mother tongue is Italian, I am ready with my language.

Dear Upwork support.

 

I have sent my ID image & information to support team and said to me "wait 24 or 48 hours"

But after a week, there is no news with that.
What is the solution?

And after submitting ID information & image, then how many steps still remain?

Hello there,

 

After sending the required documents and finishing the process of ID verification for a while, a pop-up keeps showing up.

"Action required: Verify your identity by 12/17/2022 UTC to continue winning jobs on Upwork."

I'm afraid it will take so long that I will miss the deadline since it's Dec/14.

i know you guys are busy with all the verification requests hope mine get accepted soon as possible

 

Try to contact upwork customer service.They will help you with manual review.

It's been three days since I uploaded my govt ID and selfie for identity verification. Still there was no response. I have only until December 15th to verify my identity.  I'm afraid that my account will be put on hold if my identity remains unverified. I have an active contract. Need some enlightenment and I'm looking forward that my account t will be verified soon. Thanks

Good evening! I was asked for an identity verification seven days ago and I have still not been verified. It said 1-3 working days to be completed but it is the seventh day and I have no response. I have completed the required steps. Is there anything I am not doing?

Hello Guys, I was asked to submit my ID for verification. 3-4 days ago I have submitted my ID but its still showing this " Action required: Verify your identity by 12/19/2022 UTC to continue winning jobs on Upwork. Get started. " alert. How many days It can take to get verified. Is there any way to contact them and verify this fast?

I've been having trouble with verifying this past week and can't seem to get appropriate support from the help desk.

 

After a job I completed I got the prompt to verify and submitted the ID and selfie - this was friday. Tuesday morning it gets rejected, resubmitted and heard silence since.

 

The deadline for verification before suspension is tonight, but as of right now, I'm staring at a screen that is still saying that my ID is under review and I can't get a response for my tickets.

Hi, I've submitted my Government ID and my selfie for identity verification, as soon as it showed up, and it has still not been verified. I have already started working for a client and would like to continue to get more work from Upwork, but it shows unless your ID is verified, you won't be able to win new jobs. I've submitted my ID for verification a while ago, but it is still showing the "We're reviewing your ID, which can take up to 1-3 business days"  And also it's the same thing with my visual vertification, note. How long does this usually take?

Hi,

 

I was asked to upload my ID and my Pin certificate and after submission my account was suspended and now it says that my profile is not availabe yet I did exactly as I was told and even after follow up from the support team nothing has been done. Kindly advice why my account was suspended with no communication.

Hi! I have trouble with identity verification. I took my ID photo as well as a selfie, but nothing is changing for days, as shown in the attached screenshot (I took a selfie photo 5 days ago, and they say that visual verification takes up to 1 business day, but it is still in progress). However, I receive messages from Upwork Team that they will suspend my account unless I verify my identity. Did anyone have a similar experience and what should I do? Thanks in advance!

Hii guys , I am upwork freelancer and My account need identity verification , But due to My personal problems only thing is i uploaded my Collegue picture as profile photo Because My photo can effect my carrier too , What should i do , i am unable to change it now and verification also not succed , Please help 

This is entirely up to the platform how to handle this. They might forgive the ToS violation, or not.
