there is no menu item for verification by ID when I follow the link there is no such page either ... what is the problem please help me to pass verification. thanks

Hi Roman,

If you are eligible or required to receive an “Identity Verified” badge, you can complete the two stages by going to Identity Verification in your Settings.

You may be asked to complete a visual verification and provide a valid government-issued ID. Acceptable documents include passport, national ID card (NIC/CNIC), driver's license, NBI Clearance (Philippines only), tax ID, voter ID, postal ID, or any other valid government-issued photo ID that meets these criteria.

Note that we occasionally ask users to re-verify because periodic checks ensure their accounts continue to reflect accurate information. Our goal is to make this process as seamless as possible and we thank you for your contribution to keeping Upwork a professional and safe community.

If you don't see a way to verify, that may be because you're not eligible yet. Please know that verification cannot be requested, but is slowly being rolled out to all talent. If the team finds the need to verify your account, you will be notified through an email, or through a notification in your account.

Hello,

I'm trying to upload 2 Verification Documents. The first part went through but the second part ( Additional Verification documents, see attached image ) has a "Validation Error" on the field "Date Issued" and i'm sure i've put the right format of the date. I tried to key in a few times and restarted my computer but it keeps appearing.

Please advise. Thank you.

I recently earned Identity verified badge and I am now verified, ID Document verfication, Location Verification and Visual Verification all passed.
Yet when I submit a proposal, it takes me to Identity Verification badge and asks me to submit personal info and 2 documents, one ID and one other doc (utility bill, bank statement etc).
I have submitted these details multiple number of times. Right after I submit these details, I am able to submit proposals, however, after roughly 2 days, it again asks for Identity Verification. This cycle is going on and on.

I am also tax verified. I tried submitting different documents as well, but no effect.

Please show a way to stop this endless cycle.

Now it's under review and I still see the message "Action required: Verify your identity by 11/17/2022 UTC to continue winning jobs on Upwork. Get started.

What will happen if 17 Nov comes and it still under review ??

Hey Nancy, You will have to wait for approx 72 hours to get back a response from the Upwork team, in most cases, your verification will get verified or they might ask you few more documents.

Hi Nancy,

I would like to clarify that while our system does require you to enter both a first and last name, we understand that not everyone has both names. You can go ahead and add your one name in both the first and last name fields.
